An Intercessory Prayer Team meets on a regular basis to pray for the prayer requests from FUMC and the community. In addition there is an email group “Amazing Grace Prayer Group” that receives prayer requests through email. YOU can ask for prayers or be on one of the prayer teams by emailing Min.
The United Methodist Women’s Unit (UMW) at our church has three circles and an interest group: Rachel Circle, Rebekah Circle, Susanna Circle, and the Gertrude Sewing Group, that provide opportunities to promote spiritual growth and fellowship and develop awareness and encourage action and advocacy on behalf of women, children and youth, locally and globally. Any female aged 12 and up is welcome to join a circle.
Since 2012, the leadership structure of the church has been updated to create better communication and allow decisions to be made in a more timely manner. The Leadership Council meets the third Monday of each month beginning at 6:30pm, alternating between the East and West Campuses. All meetings are open to the congregation.
At First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton we offer a variety of programs for children and families. Whether it is attending Sunday School, weekday activities, or special events your child will experience a world of Christ-focused activities that will encourage your child to be a disciple of Jesus Christ with a vision of how they can help change the world. With the help of our enthusiastic volunteers, we work and pray hard to create a safe, loving, and fun environment where children can enjoy learning about Jesus and about serving others. If you’d like to get your children involved or become a volunteer in the children’s area, please contact me.
