First half of our first day of work

This week we’ll be doing some great improvements to a church that is led by Matt and his wife who live and serve here full time. They live on the ranch and run the day camp as well as the church. The reservation is about the size of Conneticut with only about 44k people so they are spread out, to say the least. It’s very hot today (high of 90) but with an amazing breeze. The students have been working very hard at prepping the church to paint this afternoon after lunch. They have been removing window grates, scraping the wood on the stairs, porch, and ramp, and pressure washing the exterior walls. A few of the students worked with Brad upstairs in the worship space to remove old carpeting and level out some wobbly pews. We look forward to seeing the progression in the church as we continue to work hard this week.
