After breakfast and our morning worship and before our group headed out for our work we had a time of morning devotion / bible study.

The message today was the bad news of the gospel found in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” We had time to journal out what this means and what it means for each of us personally.

The good news is found in Ephesians 2:4-9 that Jesus saves us through grace and not through ANYthing we do. There was a great illustration in our book of a gymnast trying to reach the bar and yet constantly missing. This is us in our daily lives trying to reach the bar of God’s glory. We cannot get to that bar by any of our own efforts.

Our group is anxious and ready to get out serving in the community of Nashville and look forward to sharing our experience with everyone.
