We have found that to build real and authentic relationships with others it takes more than just seeing each other for an hour on Sunday morning, it involves doing life together. The first step to doing life with others is getting to know them more, and getting to know what it means to be in authentic community. We launch new Connect Groups 3-4 times a year, which meet for 8 weeks to go through a study by Andy Stanley called, Community. After the groups finish building community within their group, they have the option to continue on meeting as a group. If you have questions on Connect Groups, want to know about our other small groups, or would like to sign up to be in a connect group please contact Jill Haire at firstname.lastname@example.org or 561-395-1244 ext. 123.
Join us to learn what it means to partner with our church through church membership. We see church membership not as just joining another club, but as a commitment to really partner with us to love God, and love people. We offer our Coffee with the Pastors class quarterly with an opportunity to commit the following Sunday in worship. Our next class will be on Sunday, October 29 at 3:00pm. Free childcare is provided and if you have any questions or would like to RSVP for our next class please contact Jill Haire at email@example.com or 561-395-1244 ext. 123.
Pizza with the Pastors is a fun, informal, event help those new to our church learn more about our Pastoral Team, our church, and ways to get connected. It’s a great way for you to get to know us, for us to get to know you, and for you to ask questions about our church. Free childcare is provided or children are welcome to attend as well. This event is held quarterly and our next one will be in the early new year. If you have any questions or want to be added to the next invite contact Jill Haire at Jhaire@fumcbocaraton.org or 561-395-1244 ext. 123.
Sunday evenings is a time for students to have a fun and safe place to hang out, get to know other believers their age, and to grow in their faith. The night kicks off with a time of hang out either in our gym, playing some crazy game, or in our youth room equipped with a pool table, ping pong, video games, and more. After a time of hang out and snacks the students gather in our living room style space to study God’s word and learn to apply it to their lives.
Middle & High School, 6th-12th Grade 4pm-6pm
In July of 2016, 19 high school students and 4 adults traveled to Nashville, TN to work alongside FUGE Camp to serve the people in the surrounding area of Nashville, TN. The students were able to grow in their relationships with each other, with God, and to serve those in need. During the week we had 1 student give their life to follow Christ for the first time and two students rededicate. In one way or another all our students experienced the love of God during their week away. You can see pictures and blog posts from their week below.
Our group had a great time competition in the group relay competition tonight. Our of about 20 groups we came in second place. Of course our super competitive students were disappointed to not take first but we were proud and they had fun. Many students are already saying they aren’t ready to leave and are having a great time!
