For a “balanced workout,” come join the Monday night exercise class at 5:30 pm in the Ark of the LEC Building, East Campus.
Thank you for your interest in the Music Ministry of FUMC Boca and for taking the time to check us out. There are many opportunities on both of our campuses for people of all ages to develop and use their gifts and talents in music to praise our Lord, and bring hope to our community and beyond.
Let us encourage you to explore each area of the Music Ministry web page, and feel free to contact us if you find a particular area that interests you, or with any questions you might have.
Blessings, and we look forward to hearing from you!!
The First United Methodist Church operates a thrift store on our West Campus adjacent to the back parking lot. The store carries a variety of small household items: books, clothing, appliances, kitchen items, etc. Named after longtime volunteer, Jennifer Clay, the store serves as an outreach to our community.
Hours of operation are Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00am to 3:00pm. (**From Memorial Day to Labor Day open only on Wednesdays**)
Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the thrift shop during business hours.
For more information, call during business hours: 561-482-7399 or 561-395-1244 x225.
Our praise team on the East campus consists of three groups that make up the entire team; praise band, praise singers, and praise choir. The praise team leads the contemporary music at 9:30am service. The praise band and praise singers consist of a variety of musicians and are audition-entry groups that rehearse weekly on Wednesday evenings. The praise choir is not “audition-entry” and rehearses every other Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. For more information please contact Arlene Sparks, Director of Music, at 561-395-1244 ext. 134.
The West Campus Choir welcomes all singers with hearts for the Lord and for service. There are no auditions and music reading is not required. Our director is Suzanne Galer-Wert and her husband is Brian Wert (pictured right). The choir meets for thirty minutes just before the service from 8:45-9:15 A.M. in the choir room in the back of Fellowship Hall. We also meet after coffee time from 11:00-11:45 to prepare the next week’s music. We rejoice in a new music collection full of energy and variety. For more information, please email Suzanne.
Our hand bell ministry, Glory Ringers, leads worship for some traditional services and special events. Contact Arlene Sparks, Director of Music for more information.
