Serving Others

We are a missional church! We spend countless hours serving others using our time, talents, and abilities to help and support other members of the community and beyond, demonstrating love and compassion through actions like volunteering, providing care to those in need, and assisting with church programs. We strive to follow the example of Jesus who came ‘not to be served but to serve.’

Below are some of the ways we serve others. We hope you will consider signing up to volunteer your time and talents! Please send an email by clicking here.

The Haiti Initiative

Since its inception in 2013, a board oversees funds that have been used to house, feed, empower, employ and educate the Haitian community in Haiti and South Florida. We have built and continue to support a school in Donne, Haiti that serves over 100 children. Besides learning in the classroom, the students receive meals and nursing care. Each Saturday from 9:00am-11:00am, a local organization called Changing Lives, supports the homeless population by providing showers, clothing/shoes, haircuts, medical care, and lunch in our Gathering Place. Click here to learn more!

Boca Helping Hands

First Boca supports Boca Helping Hands, a local organization, that provides food, job training, access to healthcare and financial assistance to help individuals and families improve their quality of life and build financial stability. First Boca does two food drives a year to help stock their pantry. Our volunteers also meet at Boca Helping Hands every Thursday to pack food boxes for students to take home over the weekend. First Boca partners with CROS Ministries. Since 1978, CROS Ministries has been “standing in the gap” for our hungry neighbors in Palm Beach and Martin Counties through community collaborations. First Boca does two food drives a year to help stock their food pantries. Click to learn more!

Our Outreach Ministries Committee

The Outreach Committee coordinates the funds to be given to charities throughout the United States and the World. The congregation has the opportunity to donate funds through the giving envelopes that are available at all the Sunday services.
